This couldn’t have timed up better. Really!

I’m usually very private about these things, but…today’s my birthday. Yup. Another candle on the birthday cake!

Although the Teenie Cakes site has been up for several years, I really only consider that I started the site in November 2009, as that is when I breathed new life into the site.    Since then, writing about food has become a passion and a lot of that has to do with the support of my Husband and Foodie Community friends. I am very grateful and it’s been an amazingly-fun, rewarding and quite an educational experience. I sincerely thank each and every one of you.

In celebration of life itself, my first giveaway is presented with the support of the California Fig Advisory Board! Do you remember the California Fresh Figs – Delicious Summer Fare Ideas post from last week about the amazing and generous delivery from California Figs?

  • Five flats containing 36 fresh figs in each carton!
  • Four different Fig varieties (Black Mission, Brown Turkey, Sierra and Calimyrna figs)!
  • One 4-pound bag of dried Black Mission figs!
  • One 4-pound bag of dried Calimyrna figs!

That’s the giveaway! Isn’t that awesome?!

  2. Should you win the giveaway, you will need to share with me your name, mailing address (no P.O. Box) and phone number. This information will be forwarded to my Contact for delivery purposes only.

  4. You must have already commented on the Teenie Cakes site on or before, August 24, 2010, 11:59 pm PST OR already be a TeenieCakes.com Facebook follower/fan as of August 24, 2010, 11:59 pm PST OR already be connected to me as a friend/follower on either FoodBuzz or CookEatShare. (counts as one entry)
  5. Please leave your comments by Sunday, August 29, 2010, 11:59 pm PST. One entry per qualified person. The lucky winner will be announced next Tuesday, August 31, 2010.  Comment numbering is displayed in the comment’s list.  I’ll be using Random.Org to draw the eligible commenter’s lucky number.
  6. Extra Entry: Want an extra entry in the drawing?   Follow California Figs on Facebook and leave a separate comment on this post stating you are following them on Facebook for an extra entry (all prior criterias still applies & counts as one separate additional entry).

    Happy Birthday!!! We should be giving YOU gifts! What a great giveaway. Figs are such a luxuriously delicious summertime treat. here in Oregon they are not widely commercially available in the stores or at the produce stands, so when I do run across them I savor every little bit of them. Growing up in California my grandmother has a black mission fig tree in her yard, and we would make fresh fig jam… the intoxicating taste of which still haunts my memory. So good!

    Wow – that is an amazing giveaway! Fresh figs are pretty hard to come by around here, and when I can actually find them, they only usually are available in one variety and for a limited time. Happy Birthday 🙂
