Over many, many years, I’ve organized and saved all my Bon Appetite magazines. They’re just beautiful magazines with so much information, recipes and amazing food photography. I haven’t subscribed in a couple of years, as the format of the magazine has changed and has not appealed to me to renew my subscription.
As you can imagine, with all those years of magazines, they are taking up valuable space and as time goes by I’ve forgotten about some of the great articles and recipes that are buried within those old pages. I’ve started going through each one of them, one-by-one, pulling out things that I want and then will either recycle or donate the magazines. But then, what do I do with those clippings? I have a huge stack of them. How to organize it? Do I really want to retype everything?
I’m a web developer/designer by day, and have started the creative process of writing my own personal recipe application with the idea to convert my scanned recipes to OCR (optical character recognition).
But wait!! Check out this site I’ve come across called ScanMyRecipes.com
