Autumn Seckel Pears.
Images of last season’s seckel pears. Been on the lookout the last couple of weeks for these cute little snacking gems, but to no avail. They’re really not “baking” pears or commonly used for jams and butters so when coming across an elegant, yet rustic dessert suggesting the use of the seckel, its become a priority find!
Read more about these chubby, round bodied pears here.
Have a lovely weekend all!

Never seen this color’s pears before! I grew up with Asian pears (you know those brownish green round pears), but so happy to learn new types of pears. The first picture is amazing!!

Thx Nami!! Pears come in so many varieties – they’re rustic wonders. I’ll have to try those Asian pears – I see them in the markets, but haven’t tried them yet.

Hi Cristina. I didn’t know about these pears. I can’t wait to try someday! In the meantime, I can even smell the autumn in your photos:)

Thank you so much for visiting and stopping by! 🙂 Adore your blog and photography!!

These pears look like a painting, they are so pretty. I don’t usually notice the type of pear but now I will pay more attention.
Cristina says
Hi Samantha – I didn’t used to either. An apple was just and apple and a pear just pear. Only since writing and photographing for TC have I started taking notice. 🙂
Laura (Tutti Dolci) says
Prettiest pears, I love the fall hues!
Cristina says
Thank you, Laura. Yes, these are quintessential colors. 🙂
