Last week I attended the "Classic French Techniques: Braising & Sauteing" conducted by Heidi of "La Bastide Bistro" restaurant where she demonstrated and made Beef Bourguignon.
The techniques of braising the food is cooked slowly by sometimes using tools like slow cookers and dutch ovens. Starting the dish by preparing vegetables and meats earlier in the day to begin cooking throughout the afternoon for your evening meal is the general idea.
