Banana Cream Pie served by the Terzetto Restaurant at the M Resort, Las Vegas
Husband and I escaped for a couple of days to Las Vegas to play in the sun. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. No wind, not too dry, just an ideal time to go for a couple of days. We went Pinot Noir hopping at a couple of beautiful places.
Boa Steakhouse in Caesar’s Palace Forum
I wanted to visit Anthropologie at the Caesar’s Forum. We walked into the store together, but a couple of steps in past the door, I lost hubby! He found a nice restaurant next door called Boa Steakhouse with a beautiful bar area. The bartenders there were absolutely hospitable (the restaurant wasn’t open yet). We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine (Pinot Noir and Chardonnay). We were offered a couple swigs of wine tasting. Of course I had my camera with me and the kind folks there encouraged me to take a look and enjoy the view out on their terrace. If you’re ever in the area and would like a spectacular view of Las Vegas at night, ask the folks at Boa Steakhouse if you can take a quick peek. It’s a great view and must be even more so when the Vegas lights light up the strip at night.
Rhumbar Lounge at the Mirage
We didn’t get too far before we ran into a newer lounge at the Mirage called Rhumbar. They were playing some great Caribbean and Latin music and the set-up was fresh and inviting. I mentioned it earlier, but I’ve gotta mention it again…the weather was so perfect and this newer lounge was just the place to hang-out for awhile because it was outside. I should’ve taken some pics of the lounge, but instead I became enthralled by my newer glass of Pinot (as a foodie would, right?).
Terzetto – Steak. Seafood. Social at M Resort
Later in the evening we headed to a newer place in Las Vegas called the M Resort. There is a great dining experience to be had at Terzetto. Terzetto offers steak and seafood and we’ve enjoyed the dining experiences the times we have visited. Excellent service and our filet mignons cooked in absolute medium perfection.
We received VIP treatment from our server named Mike. If you plan to visit Terzetto, ask for “Mike from Chicago” and I promise you he will take care of you and make your dining experience even that more enjoyable by his excellent service. When we were finishing up our delicious meal and I was definitely certain that we couldn’t take another bite of anything more, Mike piqued our interest with a Banana Cream pie AND a Chocolate Souffle.
Do you like chocolate?
Have you ever had a chocolate souffle?
This chocolate souffle was absolute bliss! Mike was 100% correct when he promised us it was not something to be missed and that we would never forget our “first” chocolate souffle. He prepared our souffle at the table by slightly puncturing it’s perfection and pouring chocolate sauce down the middle. On the side was some freshly made whipped cream with some berries. The dessert was warm, light and rich, but not too rich that you’re screaming for a glass of milk. It was a perfectly balanced dessert and one of those desserts that ranks way up there.
Still with me? Absolutely divine!
I recently attended a souffle demonstration technique class so I felt I could appreciate it’s delicacy. I must try to master the souffle! =)
