Summer Strawberries.
Tidbits: The strawberry is not a true berry but an aggregate accessory fruit. More than 85% of our country’s fresh and frozen strawberries are grown right here in California. An industry of about $2.3 billion, in 2011 over 2.1 billion pounds of strawberries were harvested (source California Strawberry Commission ).
There’s still plenty of time to enjoy the season’s harvest. Don’t forget to bring home some extra and prep to freeze them for use later.

Indeed a beautiful picture , thanks for the info and I am proud to live here. I enjoy picking fresh berries in summer, it’s a treat. I live in Fremont near SF, Cristina, are we neighbors?, now that would be awesome..
